aarbitandClaude Sonnet 5 a5c2ad87e1 Rebuild the connector catalog with gendered Male/Female port types
Replaces the old ungendered catalog (plain XLR, TS/TRS 1/4", Speakon
NL2/4/8, etc.) with a full Male/Female-aware set covering audio, video,
network/data, USB (with Host/Device role split for USB-C), power, RF coax,
and fiber connectors, plus real-world bridging/adapter cables — enough to
model gender benders and specify exact cable types in the BOM instead of
just a connector family. The catalog now lives entirely in the DB (seeded
via supabase/seed.sql, captured with the new export-seed.mjs) rather than
partly hardcoded in domain/library.ts, which is now unused.

Existing seeded diagrams/devices were intentionally not migrated to the
new port types — there was nothing important in them yet.

aarbitandClaude Sonnet 5 143a96aed1 Add collapsible device nodes, cable bundling, and aggregated edges
Canvas devices can now collapse to a compact per-direction-group view; when
collapsed, cables between the same two devices of the same type merge into
one dashed "virtual" edge with a ×N marker so a busy rig doesn't turn into
a wall of parallel lines. Adds CableBundle so several real Connections
(a stereo RCA pair, a snake's channels) can be grouped and bought as one
BOM line while keeping each leg's own family-checked cable type intact.

aarbitandClaude Sonnet 5 29c3ed46a3 Add manufacturer catalog, category/manufacturer library management, and built-in cable flag
Normalizes manufacturer as a shared catalog entity (like device categories)
instead of free text on each device, giving the admin duplicate-detection
nudge a reliable signal. Adds full CRUD (including Admin direct-publish,
bypassing the submission queue) for categories, manufacturers, port types,
and cable types, plus a Categories & Manufacturers library modal and a
browse-by-manufacturer/search view in the device palette. Adds
Port.builtInCable so a captive/permanently-attached cable (a keyboard's USB
lead, a budget AVR's power cord) can be flagged and excluded from the BOM.

aarbit 26f41b3d4a Rename Project to Diagram throughout the app
Per organized-ideas.md §8: the storage layer (DiagramRepository etc.) was
already renamed in an earlier phase; this finishes it everywhere else.

- domain/types.ts: Project -> Diagram. domain/project.ts -> domain/diagram.ts
  (createEmptyProject -> createEmptyDiagram, default name "Untitled Diagram").
- domain/compatibility.ts, domain/bom.ts: Project param/type -> Diagram.
- data/exportImport.ts: ProjectImportError -> DiagramImportError,
  projectToJson/downloadProjectFile/readProjectFile/normalizeProject -> their
  Diagram equivalents.
- state/projectStore.ts -> state/diagramStore.ts: useProjectStore ->
  useDiagramStore, the `project` field -> `diagram`, newProject/renameProject/
  importProject/applyRestoredProject -> *Diagram, restoredProjectUpdatedAt ->
  restoredDiagramUpdatedAt.
- Every component updated to match, compiler-guided (tsc -b enumerated each
  remaining call site after the core rename, the same approach used for the
  earlier catalog-parameter refactor).
- README updated for the terminology, and to match the repository class
  names (which had already been renamed but the README hadn't caught up).

No backend/schema changes: the JSON shape stored in diagrams.data never
changed, only TypeScript-side identifiers, so existing diagrams are
unaffected. One SQL comment fixed for accuracy (no migration needed).

Verified: tsc -b and oxlint clean; grepped src/ for any remaining
Project/project reference (none) after the sweep.

aarbit cbbe96f575 Add BOM cable length sub-grouping
Per organized-ideas.md §7: cables of the same type sharing the same length
now get their own subtotal (count + total length + cost), revealed by
expanding that cable type's row rather than only showing one blended total.
Closes out the last open item in §7 — cost input, per-diagram override, and
the grand total were already in place.

- domain/bom.ts: computeBom groups each cable type's connections by
  distance too (a separate bucket for connections with no length entered),
  sorted shortest first.
- BomPanel: a chevron toggles the breakdown, only shown when a cable type
  actually has more than one distinct length group (nothing to reveal
  otherwise).

Verified: tsc -b and oxlint clean. No backend involved.

aarbit b97777444a Wire the app to the shared Supabase catalog (public catalog read integration)
Moves port/cable/category/device-template data from per-diagram embedded
storage to the global public/private catalog backed by Supabase, per
organized-ideas.md's "live reference, not snapshot" decision.

- domain/types.ts, project.ts, compatibility.ts, bom.ts: lookup functions
  now take an explicit Catalog parameter instead of deriving data from
  Project — Project is reduced to just diagram-scoped fields.
- New CatalogRepository/SupabaseCatalogRepository (mirrors the
  DiagramRepository pattern) and catalogStore.ts, replacing the
  catalog-related actions that used to live in projectStore.
- device_templates gets a plain-text manufacturer column for now (the
  normalized manufacturer catalog from organized-ideas.md §3 is its own
  future pass, not blocking this one).
- domain/library.ts is no longer imported by the app — it's now only the
  source scripts/generate-seed.mjs reads to produce supabase/seed.sql.
- Swept every UI call site via tsc -b until clean; oxlint clean; 23/23
  pgTAP RLS tests still passing after a `supabase db reset`.

aarbitandClaude Sonnet 5 e8654a39d6 Add BOM cost tracking
Suggested-default cost on CableType/DeviceTemplate, copied onto
placed Device instances (same pattern as ports) and overridable
per-connection/per-device in the diagram. BOM view shows per-line
and grand-total cost, excluding (and flagging) anything without a
computable cost rather than treating it as zero.
